Canine Heritage Probiotic Blend has been formulated to contain the optimal combination of probiotics your dog requires to stabilize their gut microflora. This blend's species-specific probiotics have the following characteristics:

  • Survive gastric digestion (bile salts, low pH), locate in the large intestine (adhere and colonize) and proliferate.
     
  • "Shift” gut microbiome microbial populations.
     
  • Increased production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), defense against pathogenic bacteria, reduced infection, reduced inflammation, and increased nutrient absorption.
     
  • Positive effect on both gut epithelial barrier function and interleukin (cytokine) production (which regulates immune response).
